Which documents are necessary in Italy? Print E-mail

In Italy you need a valid passport or identity card. Don't forget your tickets and reservations, money, traveler's cheques and credit cards. You can pay by credit card, which is accepted almost everywhere, and take money from cash dispensers if you have a credit card linked to an international network (Eurocard, Cirrus, Plus, Maestro etc.).

Remember that the currency in Italy is the "Euro" (abbreviation EUR, symbol €), so with cash dispenser you can only receive Euros. Don't forget to bring cash for the first few days of your stay. You can exchange money at the bank where normally you will find a good value. If you want to stay for a long period, we suggest you to open a bank account in Italy. Do not hesitate to ask our staff if you need any further information. If you want to know the exchange rate, you can check the Exchange rates

You should also have your insurance documents. Don't forget to bring your personal medicine or medical prescriptions. Citizens from EU countries should bring their European health card.
