Dear Student, The Institute I.F.F. ITALIANO PER STRANIERI of Ferrara asks you to look at the following internal regulations.LESSONS TIMETABLE:Standard Course: 9.30 - 11.00 Break 11.15 - 12.45Language Course and Italian Culture: 9.30 - 11.00 Break 11.15 - 13.30 Intensive Course: 9.30 - 11.00 Break 11.15 - 12.45 Break 13.45 - 14.30 From Monday to Friday, not including National or Local Holidays – Bank Holidays are not refunded. If the class number does not reach a minimum number of 3 students the Headship reserves the right to postpone the date of the beginning of the course. Otherwise, the 20 standard lessons a week will be converted into 8 individual lessons, or 15 lessons for a two person course. Students who are late without proper justification will not be allowed to enter the classroom. They will be allowed to do so only during the break time. In any case, absences will not be refunded. Students must pay for any damage caused inside the Institute premises, for example to: teaching materials, furniture, electronic equipment and anything belonging to the Institute. If a student harms other students or other people frequenting the school, the Head Office does not take any responsibility for it and the possible dispute will only concern those who take part in it. Students do not have insurance coverage during their stay in Ferrara. European citizens have the right to free medical assistance if they have the proper documentation for medical assistance throughout the European Union. For Non-EC citizens it is recommended to take out insurance before leaving their own countries. The Institute does not take any responsibility for belongings which are left unattended on the premises. Students can use learning or entertainment materials (books, magazines, video cassettes, cd-roms, etc.), which are available after completing a form at the Secretary's Office in order to borrow them from the school ( for a maximum period of one week ). Students must pay for the cost of the borrowed material if it is partially or complete damaged. Every week extra (afternoon- evening) activities organized by the school will be advertised on the notice board. At the moment of the booking the student must pay the complete amount as a guarantee, according to the terms. If the student does not participate in the activity, the amount will not be refunded. The Institute takes no responsibility as regards lodging prices or relations between parties (students – hotel; students –B&B, etc ). ENROLMENTTo enrol oneself it is necessary to follow the following steps:To fill in the form at the page "Admission" and accept the Institute Conditions. To pay a deposit equal to 30% of the total amount of the course and accommodation, if requested, by making a bank transfer, and to send a copy of the bank receipt by e-mail or fax (0039.0532.20.07.85). The balance of the complete amount must be paid by bank transfer within 20 working days before the beginning of the course, and a copy of the payment receipt must be sent by e-mail or fax. In this case the entire cost of the course, for which they will receive the certificate and an invoice, must be paid in advance. After the issue of the certificate, it is no longer possible to obtain a cancellation or change of dates without returning the original enrolment certificate. Once the Visa has been obtained, in the event of non-attendance of the course a refund will not be given. The expenses for sending the certificate by courier or express post are borne by the student. The Institute will communicate to the appropriate authorities the name of the students, for whom the certificate has been issued for the application for the Visa, who have been absent from lessons for more than 2 days without informing the Secretary's Office. COURSE CANCELLATIONCourses can be cancelled sending a fax (0039.0532.20.07.85) to the Institute:If the fax is sent at least 20 working days before the beginning of the course, 30% of the amount paid shall be kept by the school. If the fax is received within 10 - 19 working days before the beginning of the course, 40% of the amount paid shall be kept by the school. If the fax is received within 9 working days before the beginning of the course the complete paid amount shall be kept by the school. The Institute will take into account the date of the receipt of the fax for the compensation calculation. |
